Key Responsibilities
- Deliver highly effective daily lessons tailored to student needs, grounded in research-based instructional practices.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, ensuring each one achieves their full potential.
- Create a joyful, caring, and loving virtual classroom environment that fosters academic excellence and social-emotional growth.
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional progress.
- Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into daily classroom practice and team settings.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, maintaining a culture of humility, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Relentlessly work towards meeting all goals related to student achievement, culture, and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goals.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current state teaching license in an appropriate content area.
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
- A high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment that includes frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
- The ability to manage confidential information properly.
- The ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
- Ohio residence is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
- A background in working with students who may require additional support, such as those in Title I programs.
