Job Description:
• This is a remote position for an Experienced Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) English-ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreter based in the United States.
• The interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate interpretation services virtually via video between English and ASL in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings.
• The role involves facilitating seamless communication between service providers and the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community to ensure effective understanding and care.
Requirements:
• Interpretation Delivery: Provides high-quality consecutive interpretation via secure Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) platforms.
• Policy Adherence: Follows all Kreato Global policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Compliance: Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and/or regulatory requirements, policies, and standards.
• Professionalism: Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interactions with all patients, customers, health care providers, and clinical employees during remote sessions.
• Environment Management: Maintains a professional, well-lit, and distraction-free visual background during all video calls.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously improves vocabulary, ASL proficiency, and specialized subject matter knowledge.

• Successful completion of a drug test and Background Check & Security Screen.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
• 1+ years of interpreting experience (prior VRI experience is a strong plus).
• Knowledge of Kreato Global’s evaluation process conforming to interpreting standards defined by NCIHC, IMIA, and CHIA.
• National or State ASL Certification (e.g., RID, BEI) is highly preferred.
