Hey there!
I run a YouTube channel in the Extreme Weather & Rare Natural Phenomena Explainer niche, and I’m looking for a dedicated scriptwriter who is also comfortable with clip sourcing.
The videos focus on rare, unusual, and hard-to-explain natural events, presented in a calm, authoritative, documentary-style format, without sensationalism or clickbait.
Here are some examples of the type of content and style we’re looking for:

Project Setup & Responsibilities
I provide the video title and topic
Your Responsibilities
1. Script Writing
Write a fully original, long-form script based on the provided topic
Scripts are written for a 12–15 minute video
Target pacing: calm voice-over at approximately 140 words per minute
Target script length: 1,800–2,100 words
Each script must follow a clear structure:
- a highly engaging opening hook designed to immediately capture attention and prevent early drop-off, while maintaining a calm and authoritative tone
- a clear and logical explanation of the phenomenon (base)
- real-world examples or documented cases
- subtle micro hooks every 20–40 seconds to maintain viewer retention
- after each main topic, a short mini outro / transition hook that wraps up the section and naturally leads into the next topic (no clickbait)
- a short, natural outro at the end of the video that briefly reflects on the topic and smoothly points viewers to the next video
2. Clip Sourcing
Source relevant, accurate clips that visually support the script
Clips must be:
- original and not taken from other cashcow or compilation channels
- suitable for educational / fair-use style content
- clearly labeled and easy to match with the script sections
Research & Quality Standards
Scripts must be well-researched and factually accurate
Explanations should be clear and accessible to a general audience
Avoid exaggeration, filler, or unnecessary technical jargon
Sources should be credible (scientific, meteorological, or historical where relevant)
Requirements
Proven experience as a YouTube scriptwriter
Experience with clip sourcing for educational or documentary-style videos
Ability to consistently deliver 1,800–2,100 word scripts
2–3 scripts per week each with a 24-36 hour deadline
Strong storytelling and explanation skills
Ability to maintain viewer interest without sensational language
Payment & Collaboration
$20 per video
Potential for long-term collaboration if quality and consistency meet expectations
If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
I’m looking for a reliable scriptwriter who wants to help build this channel long-term.
