Candidates must be career-minded, have prior customer service experience, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to understand and translate customer needs and wants throughout the company. The role of the Service Dispatcher is to coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle for a customer’s request through our Service Department. This includes but is not limited to, receiving, logging, and directing incoming work requests, dispatching in-house and subcontractor technicians to complete the required work to DMC quality standards, following up on proposals and schedule dates with subcontractors, procuring and coordinating the necessary materials and/or equipment to perform each project, drafting and sending proposals to the customer, providing final invoices to the customers, and maintaining detailed internal records pertaining to the status of each project. Duties and Responsibilities: • Receive, log, and direct incoming work requests to properly track within DMC’s dispatch software; • Dispatch in-house technicians and subcontractors to complete the necessary work to DMC’s quality standards; • Follow-up on schedule dates, proposals, and updates pertaining to subcontractors; • Procure and coordinate the necessary materials for remote, in-house technicians and subcontractors to properly complete their project; • Coordinate directly with customer contacts to schedule and provide updates; • Update customer’s work order networks with accurate information; • Maintain detailed internal records pertaining to the status of each project; • Assist with the timely invoicing of completed projects; • Work directly with management to help to maintain efficient and effective practices within the Service Department; • Perform after-hours service in a shared On-Call rotation within the Service Department. Qualifications • Dispatch experience within a service industry preferred; • Experience working within work order networks (Service Channel, Corrigo, etc.); • Customer service experience or aptitude; • Desire to work within a fast-paced environment; • Exceptional communication skills, especially while working within a team environment; • Highly detail-oriented and organized; • Desire to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to everyday practices; • Experience with Google Business Suite.
