The Field Service Engineer is a critical element in ensuring customer satisfaction with my client's manufactured and distributed products. This position is responsible for performing onsite repairs and installations, preventative maintenance, client training, triaging calls and promoting service contracts. The Field Service and Support Engineer must maintain the highest standards in courtesy and competence with the company's customers.
The responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer are:
- Provide onsite customer support for product portfolio during field visits.
- Perform product installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and perform field service repairs and tests.
- Communicate complex technical issues to other members of the support team as needed and share information as appropriate in a proactive manner.
- Initiate new cases within Salesforce, ensuring all relevant data is accurate and detailed to assist with driving timely resolution with internal teams.
- Provide appropriate technical training to both clinical and non-clinical personnel in the medical device industry.
- Complete timely and detailed field service reports and inquiry and complaint cases in Salesforce and seek case resolution within 30 days to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Assist with pre-sales demonstrations, workshops and technical presentation to customers as needed.
- Issue and reconcile Return Authorizations (RA) as well as service equipment calibration logs in Salesforce.

The successful Field Service Engineer will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical, engineering discipline, IT or computers.
- 3-5 years of field travel, relevant customer service, and electronic/optical diagnostic work.
- Experience working in an ISO 13485 regulated company
- Must be able to travel (currently estimated to be up to 90%) or as assigned by the Service Manager.
