Finance Business Partner

NerdWallet UK is looking for a finance professional to join the company as a Finance Business Partner. Founded in 2009, and headquartered in San Francisco, California, NerdWallet is a premier online platform delivering authoritative financial advice, innovative tools, and objective assessments. We empower our users to make well-considered choices regarding financial products by offering precise, current comparisons and a suite of clear and succinct informational resources. The Financial Business Partner will work alongside the Financial Controller balancing the needs of the growing UK business with the requirements of our US based finance team. This is a very hands-on role within a small team; you will work closely with the NerdWallet UK management team, the UK business and a variety of US Nerds to achieve business objectives, help execute strategy and continue NerdWallet’s mission of bringing financial clarity to consumers. You are comfortable leading budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while providing scenario modelling and revenue growth recommendations. You are able to support our commercial teams with strategic financial insight. You have strong communication and analytical skills and experience partnering across functions. You are able to process financial data with a high level of accuracy. You are flexible with changing priorities alongside business needs. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Where you can make an impact: Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles with clear insights into performance trends and key revenue drivers Deliver high-quality financial analysis and scenario modelling to inform strategic decisions. Conduct detailed month-end processes including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Monitor and forecast cashflow to ensure financial resilience. Act as a trusted finance partner to commercial, marketing, and product teams—translating financial data into actionable business insights. Identify opportunities for revenue and margin growth through deep financial analysis. Support the launch of new product verticals or partner relationships with robust commercial and financial modelling. Provide support during annual budget planning and support quarterly forecasting reviews with senior stakeholders. Partner with external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes. Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. Develop and maintain tools and templates to improve reporting efficiency and decision-making quality. Your experience: 3-5 years of prior work experience ACA/ACCA qualified with 2 years of post qualification experience Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills Strong communication skills - ability to translate financial data for non-financial stakeholders Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets Preferred Qualifications ( Bonus Points ): Experience in financial services Previous experience in business partnering role Qualified in top 10 accounting firm Where: This role will be remote (based in the UK).
