Job Title: Accounting/Finance – Financial Analyst Start/End Dates: 11/21/2025 – 2/20/2026 Location: Washington DC — Fully Remote Accepted (must work EST hours) Level/Years of Experience: 7+ Pay Rate: $50–$55 per hour (W2) Citizenship Requirement: US Citizen or Green Card Holder only Employment Type: Contract (3 months with opportunity to extend and potential to be hired) Job Summary The Financial Operations Manager provides financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting support for a business unit or department and analyzes budgets with insight into business changes. This role prepares, consolidates, and reports on revenue and/or expenditures. Responsibilities include managing overall financial operations and financial planning & analysis, serving as a liaison in the procurement process, and potentially managing contract execution and compliance. The Financial Operations Manager collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline finance operation processes and develops new procedures to support the business unit or department. Essential Job Responsibilities • Prepares, consolidates, and reports on annual operating, salary, and capital budgets. Serves as a liaison to management for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. • Summarizes the financial status of the business unit or department and identifies causes of significant variances between year-to-date budget and year-to-date actuals. • Conducts multi-year financial planning and generates financial forecasts and budgets driven by identifying key assumptions and dependencies. Analyzes variances to forecasts and budgets and collaborates with other business units/departments and organizational finance teams. • Improves business performance by analyzing operational and financial data. Generates forecasts and budgets and analyzes trends in revenues, expenses, and other business areas. • Compiles and reviews departmental budgets, considering actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income. Reviews departmental expenditures for compliance and maintains accurate spending records. • Provides oversight or executes processes and/or systems that support financial operations. • Processes and prepares accounting entries. Reviews and audits financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy. Reconciles general ledger accounts and identifies errors. • Responds to internal client inquiries on financial systems, policies, and procedures. Conducts financial training as needed. Skills • 5–7+ years of experience in Finance • Financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting support experience • SOW experience (plus) • PeopleSoft experience (plus) • Advanced Excel experience • Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools (plus) Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Experience: • Finance: 5 years (Required) • PeopleSoft: 1 year (Preferred) • SOW: 1 year (Preferred) • Advanced Excel: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
