Enclave BioActives is a fast-growing wellness brand dedicated to transforming health from the inside out through science-backed, natural formulations designed to support gut health, energy, immunity, metabolism, and overall vitality. With over 10,000 five-star reviews and a mission rooted in microbiome research, we create clean, high-integrity products that deliver real results. We are seeking a highly competent, hands-on Controller with an active US CPA license. This person will own our financial structure, compliance timelines, intercompany coordination, and tax readiness — ensuring we remain accurate, compliant, and ahead of all key deadlines across all entities. This is not a “review-from-a-distance” managerial role. This is for someone who is deeply detail-oriented, proactive, highly accountable, and willing to do the work — digging into numbers, reading every page of tax filings, catching discrepancies, and coordinating closely with external CPA firms and internal stakeholders. If you are a CPA who thrives in multi-entity environments, solves problems independently, and can establish structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, we want to meet you. What You’ll Own • Multi-Entity Financial Oversight & Structuring • Manage and advise on financial and tax implications across interrelated entities. • Track and oversee intercompany balances, including proper treatment of amounts owed between entities before year-end closing. • Provide guidance on maintaining clean, logical categorization in QuickBooks and advise on best practices for QBO migration. • Maintain a clear, accurate, and up-to-date view of the financial structure so leadership always knows: • What is happening across entities • What major transactions mean • What deadlines and risks exist • Tax Compliance Coordination • Serve as the first line of review for all tax filings and forms — federal, state, Puerto Rico, and other required returns. • Coordinate proactively with external tax preparers/agencies to ensure documents are accurate, complete, and submitted well before deadlines. • Build a living calendar of all filing deadlines, payments, and compliance activities. • Identify risks early and notify leadership with recommended actions. • Review filings page-by-page and flag errors, inconsistencies, or missing information. • Documentation Readiness & Year-End Prep • Gather, validate, and organize all documents external CPAs need before they ask. • Oversee and manage data for 1099s/PR 480.6 forms, audits, and other annual reporting across all entities. • Maintain organized financial documentation that supports audits and future tax seasons. • Hands-On Accounting Work This role is highly operational, not supervisory-only: • Build and maintain spreadsheets, reconciliations, schedules, and workpapers. • Validate categories, entries, and documentation prepared by bookkeeping/AP teams. • Dive directly into numbers — you will not be delegating this work. • Problem-solve issues as they emerge, without adding new bureaucratic layers. What Success Looks Like in This Role You will excel if you: • Stay ahead of every deadline — no surprises, no last-minute scrambles. • Flag issues before they hit the team’s inbox. • Reduce stress around compliance by ensuring accuracy and clarity. • Build clarity around how financial data flows across entities. • Improve quality of information without creating unnecessary processes or administrative load. • Demonstrate “controller” thinking — but with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute. • Make leadership feel confident, protected, and informed. Who are we looking for • Active US CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is required • Experience with Puerto Rico tax/compliance is good to have • Previous experience in Controllership, Senior accounting, Multi-entity financial management in the e-commerce industry or multi-entity business structures • Proven experience acting as both managerial thinker and hands-on executor • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP • Ability to interpret complex tax documents, filings, and multi-entity flows • Exceptional attention to detail • High integrity and trustworthiness • Experience with QuickBooks Online migration is good to have • Experience coordinating with multiple CPA firms simultaneously Job Type: Full-time Application Question(s): • Do you have experience with Puerto Rico tax/compliance? Experience: • Finance Controllership: 7 years (Required) License/Certification: • US CPA license (Required) Work Location: Remote
