Financial Data Analyst II

Candidate must attend occasional office meetings in Long Island City, NY office. Position Purpose: This position is responsible for the financial data analytic needs of the organization. The position will use a combination of financial analysis tools and techiques as well as data analysis tools and technologies to generate, analyze, report, and interpret financial and other data used across the organization. • Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management; strong process documentation skillset preferred. • Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. • Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of various systems. • Diagnose problems and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Complies with all policies and standards. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience. Experience with financial analysis focused on month end close, government reporting, and financial forecasting. Experience writing SQL queries is highly preferred. Healthcare or managed care data analytics experience is preferred. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
