K-38 Consulting is seeking an experienced Fractional CFO with deep Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience to support a rapidly growing food brand.
This engagement requires a strategic finance leader who understands retail distribution, inventory management, growth modeling, cash flow planning, and scaling emerging consumer brands.
We are not seeking a controller, bookkeeper, or outsourced accounting provider. We need a CFO-level advisor who has successfully helped CPG companies navigate growth and expansion.

Our client is an emerging food brand with a unique product offering that has already secured placement in 117 Publix stores and is experiencing strong demand for expansion.
The product occupies a differentiated position within its category, features all-natural ingredients, is gluten-free, and delivers premium quality at a competitive price point.
Leadership seeks a strategic financial partner who can help build the financial roadmap required to scale distribution, support retail growth, and prepare the business for its next phase of expansion.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain financial models that support rapid growth scenarios
Develop revenue forecasts and retail expansion projections
Analyze cash flow requirements associated with growth initiatives
Create inventory planning and working capital models
Evaluate capital requirements and financing strategies
Support retail channel growth planning and profitability analysis
Develop KPI dashboards and executive reporting
Advise leadership on pricing, margins, and profitability optimization
Build investor-ready financial models and presentations when needed
Support strategic decision-making around production, distribution, and expansion
Required Qualifications
U.S.-based CFO or Fractional CFO
Significant experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
Experience with emerging or high-growth food and beverage brands
Proven track record supporting retail distribution growth
Strong expertise in:
Financial modeling
Forecasting and scenario planning
Cash flow management
Inventory and working capital management
Gross margin analysis
Retail channel economics
Experience working with founder-led companies and growth-stage businesses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with brands distributed through Publix, Kroger, Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, Costco, or similar retailers
Experience raising capital or preparing companies for investment
Food and beverage industry experience
Experience scaling brands from regional distribution to national expansion
Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing economics
