Freelance Accountant For Apparel Business

We’re a fast-growing apparel company looking for an experienced and reliable Accountant to join our team on a contractor basis. This role is ideal for someone who understands the financial operations of a product-based business and can manage day-to-day accounting as well as help with reporting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. We operate in a high-volume, quick-turn environment with both DTC and wholesale channels, so experience in apparel, consumer goods, or manufacturing is strongly preferred. Responsibilities: • Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable • Handle monthly closing processes, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking • POs, COGS, and margin reports • Liase with our internal teams and external tax preparers or CPAs as needed • Assist in preparing documents for tax filings, audits, and investor reporting • Help optimize processes and create efficiencies in reporting workflows Requirements: • 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in apparel, manufacturing, or consumer goods • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets • Solid understanding of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and margin tracking • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently • Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, NetSuite, or Monday.com a plus Position Type: Contractor / FreelanceRemote 10–20 hours per week, with potential for more based on growth and needs To Apply Please include: • A brief overview of your accounting background • Relevant experience in apparel, eCommerce, or product-based businesses • Your availability and hourly rate Apply tot his job
