Freelance, Senior Writer

Temporary Freelance, Senior Writer Golin is currently looking for a Freelance Senior Writer to join our centralized new business and marketing team. This role will serve as an agency-wide internal resource, specializing in setting and maintaining our agency voice and editorial standards across internal, owned and external channels, from web copy and news releases to industry award submissions and innovation marketing. We are looking for someone who can join us in a Freelance capacity and can commit to up to 40 hours weekly for approximately 5 months. Want to "Go All In" with us? Here are the details: What you'll do • Shape the Golin story across earned and owned channels through compelling, AI-optimized news releases, blog posts, and web and social content, which demonstrate our impact and expertise • Push best practices as it relates to multi-media formats, including video (long- and short-form scripting), infographic concepting, and community engagement principles (including Reddit) • Craft powerful award submissions that showcase our agency and client work to industry recognition programs • Partner with new business teams to transform how we articulate our agency capabilities, innovations, and products to prospects and clients, developing clear narratives that drive understanding and action • Collaborate with practice leaders to articulate their expertise distinctively and mentor account teams to elevate their writing while maintaining project momentum • Develop best practices for AI-assisted content creation and editing What you have: • 5+ years of writing experience, with a proven track record of elevating organizational writing standards • Demonstrated expertise in using AI tools to accelerate content creation while maintaining quality and voice • Sharp editing skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve structural and stylistic issues in others' work • Journalism background with modern media experience writing for digital/social platforms is preferred Please note: We are ideally seeking qualified candidates who can commit to a freelance role with an opportunity to collaborate in-person two to three days a week at our Golin Chicago or Golin New York office. We are open to considering qualified remote candidates in other locations. Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
