POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Accountancy Regulatory and Engagement Manager, plays a critical role in advancing IFAC’s public policy, regulatory affairs, and external advocacy agenda. The role will have a particular focus onsupporting IFAC’s advisory groups which deal with complex matters relating to future-readiness, technical accounting, audit & assurance, and ethics.

Reporting to the Head of Advocacy, Regulatory, and Policy, this position is responsible for end-to-end support for three of IFAC’s Advisory Groups, namely the Public Policy and Regulation Advisory Group (PPRAG), the Professional Accountants in Business Advisory Group (PAIBAG), and the Small and Medium-sized Practices Advisory Group (SMPAG). The role will also lead in supporting several of IFAC’s Communities of Practice.

The role will primarily focus on researching emerging global issues affecting the accountancy profession to generate high-quality agendas and supporting materials for the IFAC’s Advisory Groups referred to above. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the insights generated from engagements at Advisory Group meetings are synthesized into high-quality outputs that support IFAC’s advocacy efforts, communication of policy positions and responses to regulatory developments. The role will also support IFAC’s broader policy and advocacy initiatives across the PAIB, SME, and SMP communities.
