Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership: Line manage a team of Programme Managers and Programme Co-ordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs.
- Curriculum Development: Take overall responsibility for the maintenance and enhancement of academic standards, curriculum currency, and student experience.
- Pedagogical Approaches: Drive forward the development of programs, considering pedagogical approaches appropriate for online delivery.
- Student Experience: Use your subject knowledge and experience, as well as feedback from students, tutors, and examiners, to enhance the student experience.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team, prioritizing and co-ordinating workload, and working to set deadlines.
- Additional Projects: Take on additional projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD in Law or a relevant subject: A PhD in Law or a relevant subject, or a Masters level qualification in a relevant subject.
- Extensive Senior Level Experience: Extensive senior-level experience in a relevant sector, preferably in Higher Education.
- Teaching Experience: Experience of teaching in Higher Education, with a strong understanding of pedagogical approaches.
- Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and IT skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Online Education Experience: Experience of working in online education, with a strong understanding of digital pedagogies.
- Subject Expertise: Strong subject expertise in law, with a passion for academic excellence.
Skills and Competencies:
- Academic Leadership: Strong academic leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, tutors, and examiners.
