About the role We're looking for an exceptional Head of Strategic Finance to drive FP&A and strategic financial analysis during this exciting period of growth. You'll be exposed to all aspects of our business, supporting important decisions for our leadership team. You will report to the Founders and work closely with the rest of the Finance team as well as our wider Operational teams. About you We'd like to hear from you if… You currently work in a startup or VC environment - likely 3-6 years’ total experience You might be in FP&A today or in a more generalist role like a VC You enjoy fast paced work and thrive on ambiguity You can easily analyse numbers, understand the business context, and derive the “so what” You have worked on strategic analysis, business cases and building financial models with cross functional teams You can clearly present data in graphs and slides, and are an excel / gSheets whizz You’ve done financial or strategic analyses, without necessarily having a finance or accounting background You share in our passion for our mission: to transform clinical trials What you'll be responsible for: Depending on experience level, you will be provided with extensive training to be responsible for: FP&A Provide financial insights and analysis to support company strategy, growth opportunities and fundraising Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making Prepare and update financial forecasts, incorporating business performance and future strategic initiatives Drive analysis around margins at company and account level Exec support Lead strategic projects that have a financial component Work closely with the Exec team to help drive their functional objectives Work with the Founders to prepare materials for the Board and investors Operations Work with Operational functional leads on budgeting process to ensure alignment with company goals Monitor and report on budget variances and coordinate actions across teams to address these variances as needed Work closely with our ClinOps and Product teams on resourcing models, milestone forecasting and accounting across live projects Our Hiring Process: Initial conversation with Talent team- 30 minutes Second interview with Finance Director (Yuan)- 30 minutes Functional take-home task, to be presented in interview - 45 minutes Values interview with some of the exec team- 30 minutes Referencing
