Job Description:
• Manage the entire contracting and amendment process for hospital clients, vendors, and ACO arrangements, from request intake (via Salesforce or other workflow tools) through execution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including: Client and hospital services agreements, Vendor and consultant agreements, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), Amendments, letters, and other related legal documents.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in drafting and negotiating contract terms to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Compliance teams to support strategic initiatives and address contract-related issues.
• Ensure all agreements comply with applicable healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Track contract milestones, renewal dates, and deliverables to support ongoing business operations.
• Maintain and organize contract files, contract tracking, templates, and clause libraries to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Support the General Counsel and broader Legal team with special projects, research, and process improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted resource for colleagues across the organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree with focus in business administration, healthcare or law or similar experience
• 5 years of healthcare contracting and business experience in a fast-paced, professional setting
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare contracting, preferably within a physician practice management company, hospital system, or healthcare services organization
• In-depth understanding of healthcare contracting principles, including provider, hospital, and vendor relationships
• Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, etc.)
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
