Summary The Heavy Maintenance and Induction Analyst is responsible for forecasting and scheduling short-term and long-term aircraft fleet maintenance with an emphasis on heavy checks and aircraft inductions. In addition, the position develops and maintains the most optimized planning scenario to mimic green time burn within approved schedule heavy maintenance allocation. Maintain fleet maintenance program alignment and ensure major component replacement is well planned in alignment with long-term planning schedule. Additional essential duties include the ability to create new policies and procedure to enhance the established processes. Certification:Yes Certification Details:Airframe & Powerplant Certification preferred. Years of Experience:Minimum five (5) years of experience in an MRO maintenance and planning background. Ability to communicate with ascending levels of management. •Ability to prioritize work and work independently with minimal supervision. •Must have strong keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft OS's, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. •Self-motivated problem-solver with professional demeanor. •Organized; proven track record of completing tasks. •Strong work ethic and flexibility required. •Ability to tactfully manage in order to interface effectively over a broad range of company functions. •Ability to locate, understand and extract pertinent information from AIS. •Ability to process analytical routing information. •Ability to work under pressure in a team environment. •Ability to work collaboratively with Team Members in other departments. •Program management experience or the equivalent. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. •In-depth knowledge of Coding. •Knowledge of and ability to understand and research AD’s, IPC’s, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals Service Bulletins, Standard Practice Manuals, etc. •Knowledge of and ability to research audit aircraft records and maintenance check packages. •Ability to locate, understand and extract pertinent information form AIS. •Ability to interface with multiple airframe Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities and track maintenance check progress / status. Job Duties •Manage a team responsible for developing and maintaining the implementation of major modifications and scheduled heavy maintenance events. •Develop and maintain a forward-looking five-year long-range heavy maintenance plan for scheduled maintenance visits. •Monitor and track the progress and performance of the heavy maintenance plan; identify problem areas and recommend corrective actions. •Plan all special project work from departments internal to Maintenance & Engineering and across Allegiant Air. •Plan the production workload, including but not limited to maintenance inspections, time-controlled component removals, and deferred maintenance items. •Determine the optimal opportunities for accomplishing engineering directives and schedule them accordingly. •Develop, maintain, and optimize tools to enable scenario planning and identify the most effective solutions. •Assist the Director of MX Planning and Strategy in preparing the annual heavy maintenance and aircraft induction budgets by reviewing past maintenance program changes and expenditures. •Analyze future needs, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines. •Develop routine and non-routine labor hours, span time, and material standards for all scheduled tasks. •Establish goals and objectives for the Maintenance Planning team. •Interface with heavy maintenance vendors. •Coordinate the RFP process when developing new Heavy Check Maintenance Contracts. •Monitor fluctuations in aircraft total time, cycles, and hard dates for each fleet, and optimize the Heavy Check/Induction schedule accordingly. •Ensure that all direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards in their daily responsibilities, as appropriate. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards through personal actions and leadership. •Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Heavy Maintenance and Induction Planning. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
