Role Description The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home anywhere in the US. This role involves overseeing and administering HR Compliance and Policy programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to U.S. HR and employment law issues. Responsibilities include: • Identifying and aligning strategic compliance-related requirements to drive focused HR initiatives. • Overseeing management of the leave of absence and accommodations area and various outsourced vendor relationships. • Identifying areas of opportunities for performance improvement and creating internal controls to mitigate risks. • Pro-actively monitoring the changing regulatory landscape and developing strategies to mitigate risk. • Working with Senior HR Leadership, management, and colleagues to support new and ongoing initiatives for the Human Resources function. • Establishing collaborative relationships with the Office of General Counsel, other HR partners, business leaders, and external agencies. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required • Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required • 5 years of management experience • Ability to work on a team; demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills • Strong communication skills, both written and oral Requirements • Managing organization-wide projects preferred • May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system Benefits • Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans • Health Spending Accounts & Flexible Spending Accounts • PTO + Holidays • 401K with up to 5% Match • Paid Family Leave • Employee Assistance Programs • Disability and Insurance: Short + Long Term • Service Awards and Recognition Pay Information The annual salary range for this position is $125K - $136K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
