This role will assist the Controller in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting in the manufacturing environment, excellent analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset. Requirements Key Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. • Financial Decision Making: Working with the executive team to guide the organization’s financial decisions, including special projects. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing insights to improve financial performance. • Accounting operations: Overseeing the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank... reconciliations. • Accounting policies and procedures: Maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. • Audit and Tax Support: Facilitate internal and external audits and tax preparation, ensuring timely provision of necessary documentation and responses to inquiries. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, assisting in the implementation of internal controls. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, procurement, and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. • Financial Systems: Assist in the maintenance and improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. • Staff Management: Hiring, training, and retaining accounting staff. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. • 5+ years of financial accounting management, preferred in the manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and analysis. Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. • Proficiency in accounting software. Prefer experience with SAP, AS/400 applications and reports. Advanced level in MS Excel and intermediate MS Word and PowerPoint proficiency. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. • Potential to move into the Controller role within the next 12 months.
