Company Overview Special Parent Advocacy Group (SPAG) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering parents of children with special needs through recreational and residential programming. We work to bridge gaps in services and improve communication between families and educational institutions, ensuring that every child receives the support they deserve. Summary We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at SPAG. This role is vital in supporting our mission by managing HR functions that enhance employee engagement and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of families with children who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. Candidates must reside in Texas and only those candidates need to apply. Responsibilities • Review cameras and or incident reports to facilitate corrective action and/or written warnings based on violations of company policy/procedure • Conduct any interviews related to investigations by writing up formal documentation of interviews to the HR Director • Administer employee benefits programs and assist staff with inquiries regarding HR policies. • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. • Facilitate employee relations initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture. • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. • Coordinate training sessions and professional development opportunities for staff. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role. • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels. • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., ATS, ADP) is a plus. • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
