Job Title: Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Lead Analyst CalJOBS Modernization Project Location: Remote (California-based client) Job Type: Contract Company: Technology Management Solutions, Inc. About the Project The California Employment Development Department (EDD) is modernizing CalJOBS , the State s workforce solution serving over 1.1 million job seekers, employers, and training providers annually, plus 5,000 staff. The CalJOBS Modernization Project aims to deliver a user-friendly, customizable, secure, and agile system that improves services for Californians. This is a reportable IT project under the Statewide Information Management Manual (SIMM) and California Project Management Framework (CA-PMF), currently in Stage 4 (Project Readiness and Approval) of the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL). We are hiring two (2) IV&V Leads to provide Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) services. Responsibilities The IV&V Leads will perform independent assessments and provide objective reporting to ensure project success. Key tasks include: Develop the IV&V Management Plan Produce IV&V Monthly Activity Reports Perform independent assessments of project methodologies, Agile software development life cycles, and quality assurance processes Conduct reviews of requirements, design, test documentation, training, implementation, and O&M content Apply IEEE Std. 1012 standards to perform IV&V activities, including: Risk and issue reviews Traceability matrix analysis System requirements evaluation Test assessments and verifications Task-specific IV&V reports Observe and assess tools, artifacts, and activities related to development, testing, and project management Provide independent findings, recommendations, and actionable insights to project leadership Required Qualifications Certifications (Required submit copy with application) One of the following: PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Deliverables IV&V Management Plan Monthly Activity Reports Risk and Issue Assessments Traceability Matrix Analysis Reports Test Assessment and Verification Reports Additional IV&V analyses as authorized by the State Contract Details Project: CalJOBS Modernization EDD Phase: PAL Stage 4, with continuation through design, development, testing, and implementation Location: Remote with potential onsite meetings in Sacramento, CA Contract Type: Independent Contractor (Corp-to-Corp) How to Apply: Please submit your resume, degree (or qualifying experience substitution details), and certification copy (PMI-ACP, PMP, or CSM).
