At American Express, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Information Security Manager to lead our team of security professionals. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and experience in the security field, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. As the leader of our Information Security team, you will be responsible for developing and executing on our security strategies and ensuring the safety of our customers' data.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and at least five years of experience in information security, with at least three years in a supervisory role. You must also have extensive knowledge of security standards and IT best practices, as well as strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Experience with developing and implementing security policies and procedures, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, are also highly preferred.In this role, you will be the driving force behind our security initiatives, ensuring the safety of our customers’ data and the integrity of our IT systems. You will be a passionate advocate for cybersecurity, promoting a culture of security across our organization and developing the next generation of security professionals. Responsibilities: Develop and execute on security strategies and initiatives to protect customer data and IT systems. Promote a culture of security across the organization and develop the next generation of security professionals. Establish and maintain security policies and procedures. Monitor and review security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities. Assist in the investigation of security incidents and their root causes. Manage the Information Security team, including setting objectives, assigning tasks, and providing feedback. Stay up-to-date on emerging security technologies and trends. Develop and present security awareness and education programs. Research and recommend security products and services. Provide technical guidance and support to other departments.
