Instructional Design / Training Specialist/ Spanish

Position Purpose: The Instructional Design and Training Specialist works directly with the Publisher and Spanish Executive Editor to define and implement research-based pedagogical approached related to Spanish literacy, Dual Language, and Cross Linguistic Transfer decisions. Responsibilities: • Guide the instructional design of new Spanish and dual products, providing a professional developer/practitioner perspective on content to help ensure best practices. • Collaborate with content developers, authors, and consultants to conceptualize new products and develop program matrices and scope and sequences based on ELA, ELD and content standards. • Attend Content Development working meetings to support the conceptualization and prototyping of all new components. • Develop scope and sequences, working with content developers and outside consultants as needed. • Create new product prototypes and provide feedback on prototypes developed by others,. • Participate in district and state submissions by writing and/or reviewing RFP responses to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of responses. • Participate in product launch meetings, scrums, and RFP weekly meetings. • Work with the Director, Instructional Design and Training, to create product training scripts for Spanish core and supplemental products.
