Intern - Finance Department

During the internship period, the intern will work closely with the Finance Director and the Senior Finance Manager and will be exposed to the following areas in Finance (Financial Accounting, Business law/Contracts, Procurement, Project Accounting, Taxation and Compliance) Responsibilities: To support Edelman Finance with the following tasks: Monthly financial closing activities Project accounting – preparation of project closure activity report Annual audit – preparation of audit schedules Annual Tax – revenue and costs analysis Procurement (Ensuring compliance with Contract Law): Preparation of Influencer Agreement upon receiving the scope of works and fees from the Practice. Upon finalization of the Influencer Agreement, facilitate approvals from both internal (MD, Practice Head) and external stakeholder (Influencers). Share the final agreements with Finance and Practice. Preparation of Job Approval upon receiving scope of works and fees from the Practice. Onboarding of the Influencers onto GFS (Edelman’s financial system). Facilitate payments to Influencers. Includes collating invoices and ensure invoices meets GFS Payment requirement. When deposits are required to be paid to the Influencers, facilitate the payments processing. For final settlement of invoices, work with Practice to confirm all commitments have been delivered before final fees are paid.
