About the position As an intern in the IT Planning and Finance department at Selective, you will gain valuable insights into financial concepts and practices within the insurance industry. This hybrid position allows you to work closely with financial data, supporting forecasting processes and enhancing financial applications while contributing to a high-performing team dedicated to customer service and loss mitigation. Responsibilities • Support the monthly forecasting processes by gathering data, updating financial applications, and preparing variance analyses. , • Assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports to support decision-making processes. , • Opportunity to automate and enhance Excel workbooks by adding more formulas, pivot tables, and checks and balances. Requirements • Must be a current college student to qualify (rising juniors and seniors preferred). , • Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry. , • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
