Job Post: Children’s Book Illustrator Wanted (Budget-Friendly)

Project Overview: I’m looking for a creative illustrator to bring my children’s book to life. The story is geared toward ages 3–6 years old and has a fun, lighthearted tone. I’d like colorful, engaging illustrations that capture children’s attention and complement the text. Scope of Work: Cover design (front & back) interior illustrations (please specify if you do full-page spreads, half-page, or spot illustrations) Deliver final files in high-resolution format (300 dpi, CMYK, PDF/PNG/JPEG) for print and digital Style Reference: I’m looking for a style that is playful, watercolor-like - friendly for children aged 3-6 years of age. Budget: My budget is limited, so I am looking for a flexible illustrator who can work within a $500 budget for the project. (I’m open to emerging illustrators or students looking to build their portfolios.) Timeline: I’d like to start with one sample illustration to make sure the style is a good fit.
