We are looking for a Knowledge Base AI Engineer to design and build a next-generation hybrid knowledge system that combines the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with structured ontologies to automate complex business processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy a hybrid AI knowledge base, integrating dynamic inference logic with structured ontology frameworks
- Design and implement advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using diverse retrieval strategies
- Build and orchestrate agentic and multi-pass reasoning workflows with advanced prompt engineering techniques
- Develop data ingestion and processing pipelines, including OCR, table parsing, and intelligent chunking of unstructured data
- Model complex business domains into structured ontology systems
Profile Requirements
Core Programming & AI Stack
- Proficiency in Python and/or Clojure
Database Expertise
Understanding of key database paradigms:
- Graph databases (e.g., Memgraph, Neo4j)
- Vector databases (e.g., Weaviate, Pinecone, pgvector)
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL)
Systems Engineering & DevOps
- Experience with:Version control systems (Git)
- Linux command line
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub / GitLab)
- Containerization (Docker)
- System communication protocols (HTTP, sockets, shell)
Holistic Engineering Mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Preference for solid engineering fundamentals over tool-specific knowledge
Nice to have:
- Interest or experience in symbolic AI and functional / logic programming (Lisp, Scheme, Prolog, OWL)
- Experience deploying local LLM inference systems (vLLM, Ollama)
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, Ragas)
- Experience in MLOps or building data-intensive pipelines
- Understanding of metadata-driven systems
- Knowledge of Pathom (Clojure)
- Experience building static analysis systems
