The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Team Lead and as an Agency counter WMD/emerging threats subject matter expert assigned to the Plans and Exercises Department. The position leads a team responsible for providing campaign, contingency, and crisis planning support to DoD with priority assigned to the assigned CCMDs.Qualifications:You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Demonstrated ability to maintain a global view of Combatant Command (CCMD) capabilities and requirements, and to apply a globally integrated perspective that ensures supporting products take into account both WMD-related concerns and objectives of other CCMDs to effectively counter adversary activities within their AOR. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret national-level strategies and warfighting plans through the lens of the evolving threat environments and approaches that maximize the cumulative effect of the agency's operations, activities and investments to enable CCMD objectives. Expert knowledge of OSD, Joint Staff, CCMDs, Military Services and the Service components of CCMDs, Defense/Combat Support Agencies, and Interagency roles and overall missions in relation to the CWMD mission. Expert knowledge of the Joint Planning Process. Expert knowledge of US national strategy to include the DoD Strategy to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction.
