Overview
We are a growing law firm seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Legal Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for potential clients. This role is critical in creating a positive first impression, gathering key information, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
This is a remote, contract-based role (Upwork) with the potential for long-term collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Respond to incoming client inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms in a professional and empathetic manner
Conduct initial intake screenings to gather essential case information and determine eligibility
Accurately document all interactions in our CRM/intake system
Clearly explain our services and set realistic expectations for potential clients
Coordinate and schedule consultations between clients and attorneys
Follow up with prospects to ensure all required information is collected
Prepare engagement documentation and maintain intake records
Compile and organize consultation notes for internal use
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Support ongoing process improvements and administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a client-first mindset
Experience in legal intake, call handling, or client service roles (law firm experience preferred)
Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable using CRM systems and technology tools
Ability to work independently and manage follow-ups effectively
Nice to Have
Experience with law firm intake processes or case screening
Familiarity with tools like MyCase, Clio Grow, or similar platforms
Prior remote work experience
