Licensed Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired Full or Part-Time School Role

Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois A specialized hospital school program is seeking a TVI to provide educational support for children undergoing long-term medical treatment. Youll work in partnership with medical staff and therapists to deliver instruction tailored to each childs health status and visual needs. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and sensitivity to medical complexities. Experience with hospital or homebound education preferred. Responsibilities: • Conduct virtual speech and language assessments and evaluations • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans for students • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to provide the best care possible • Keep detailed records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary • Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers Qualifications: • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology • Current IllinoisSLP license • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders • Experience providing virtual therapy services is a plus • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Fast/reliable computer & internet connection • No Chromebooks/tablets permitted Highlights: • 1099 Position • Guaranteed Weekly Hours • Hourly rate consistent across direct/indirect hours (dependent on contractor experience/district budget) • School hours • Clinical/Technical Team on standby Were hiring a Teacher for the Visually Impaired for an after-school program focused on assistive technology and independent living skills for visually impaired youth.
