Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our facilities while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to drive when necessary. Duties: · To ensure a good and efficient service is maintained at all times, and that the service is carried out in a courteous, efficient and pleasant manner. · To make sure Linen cupboards on all floors are fully stocked for the day ahead. And restocked throughout the day as and when required. · To collect all bagged soiled linen from all the hotel floors throughout the working day. · Take all the soiled linen to the linen room and place in the Blue laundry trucks ready for collection. · To prepare all restaurant linen for cleaning to the outside laundry · To prepare and assist in the delivery of clean linen and associated items to the linen cupboards on each section/ floor for the use of the room attendants or for the restaurant linen to the areas where required. i.e. guest toiletries, toilet rolls, tea and coffee supplies etc. · Take any Grey Spa Robes to the Hotel laundry to be cleaned internally · Tidying up any rubbish in the linen room and the linen cupboard on the floors including wrappers that have been removed from the linen and take the rubbish to the skip. · Collect any housekeeping deliveries and take to the correct store cupboards · Other duties include any deep-cleaning projects, and assisting with · To collect and return guest’s dry cleaning. · To assist in taking ‘Z’ beds, cots, iron and ironing boards to guest rooms when required. · To assist with any reasonable request made by the Housekeeper. · To keep good relations between colleagues. · To co-operate fully with the Housekeeper and senior members of staff. · To be flexible and available when busy times demand. · Uniform to be clean and well pressed.
