Keep Systems Running. Keep Users Happy. We’re looking for two skilled Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to join our infrastructure team. This is a hands-on operational role focused on managing Linux systems and key third-party platforms like Kafka, Redis, and Kubernetes. You’ll work behind the scenes to ensure infrastructure components are running smoothly—without owning the application layer. What You'll Be Doing Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS) Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot platforms such as Kafka , Redis , and Kubernetes Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support systems in data center and hybrid environments Write basic automation scripts to streamline daily operations Participate in a shared on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents Our Tech Environment OS: Linux (RHEL, CentOS – but open to other distros) Platforms: Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes Monitoring & Logging: Combination of in-house and third-party tools Scripting: Bash, Python (basic) IaC: Experience with tools like Ansible or Puppet is a plus What We’re Looking For Strong background in Linux system administration Experience managing infrastructure-level services (not application development) Ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues efficiently Basic scripting skills for task automation Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is preferred but not mandatory Ideal Candidates Experienced SREs or systems engineers who thrive in infrastructure-heavy environments Problem-solvers who enjoy keeping critical systems up and running Team players who can clearly document and share operational procedures Orion is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
