About the position The Managing Director/Subject Matter Expert for Federal Renewable Tax Credits is a high-impact leadership role focused on developing and implementing innovative tax credit strategies for Fortune 500 companies. This position requires extensive expertise in renewable energy tax credits, particularly in navigating complex tax structures and managing client relationships. Responsibilities Lead the development of renewable tax credit strategies for Fortune 500 clients. , Structure and manage tax equity transactions, advising clients on credit purchase strategies. , Develop client-specific credit risk management protocols during due diligence and throughout the tax credit recapture period. , Build and maintain relationships with industry participants including developers, law firms, and accounting firms. , Evaluate new talent acquisitions to align with the firm's strategic vision. Requirements 5+ years of experience with renewable energy technologies. , Deep understanding of industry participants such as developers, law firms, accounting firms, and insurance companies. , In-depth knowledge of project distinctions within the renewable energy industry, particularly between utility-scale projects and distributed generation (DG). , Familiarity with legal entity structures used in tax equity financing, focusing on T-flips and tax credit investor roles. , Expertise in the Inflation Reduction Act and tax credit transfers. Nice-to-haves Experience in advising on short-term and long-term credit purchase strategies. , Leadership experience in risk management methodologies.
