Employment Type: Travel Nursing Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Unit Shift: 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 13-week contract Start Date: September 8, 2025 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680 Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates based on experience Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state BLS Certification (required before first shift) ACLS Certification (required before first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting (2 years preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg patients Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Macon, Georgia!
