Motion Graphics Designer, Drone Light Shows Full-time, Remote Position About Us Sky Elements Drone Shows is the leading drone light show provider in the United States. We create large-scale aerial performances for brands, sports teams, cities, municipalities, entertainment properties, artists, corporate events, private events, and major live experiences nationwide. We are hiring a full-time Motion Graphics Designer to help translate client ideas into visual concepts, storyboards, and drone show designs. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing creative role that works closely with the Creative Director, clients, and internal animation team to bring drone light show concepts to life. The position is up to 100% remote (candidate must reside in the United Sates). Work is highly collaborative and reports to the Creative Director. Works directly with clients as well as internal animation team. Compensation Starting at $65,000 annually Key Responsibilities • Meet with clients to understand show goals, creative direction, brand requirements, event details, and visual preferences • Translate client ideas into creative concepts, visual designs, and storyboards • Create illustrations, graphics, design frames, and visual references for drone show animation • Develop storyboards that communicate timing, transitions, scene flow, and key visual moments • Collaborate with the animation team to help bring approved storyboards and visual concepts to life • Incorporate client, Creative Director, and internal team feedback into revised creative work • Support proposal and presentation materials when visual concepts are needed during the sales or production process • Maintain organized creative files and project documentation • Manage multiple creative projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment • Contribute creative ideas that support memorable, technically feasible drone light shows Required Qualifications • Experience in graphic design, motion graphics, animation, storyboarding, visual design, or a related creative field • Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, illustration, motion graphics, storyboarding, or related creative work • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop • Proficent knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects • Ability to create clear visual concepts and storyboards for client and production team review • Strong written communication skills • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal teams • Strong creativity, originality, and visual problem-solving ability • Ability to adapt design work to different brand styles, event types, and creative directions • Understanding of basic animation principles, motion, pacing, and visual flow • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply feedback accurately • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work across multiple projects • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, or similar presentation tools Preferred Qualifications • Experience designing for live events, entertainment, sports, music, advertising, experiential marketing, or brand activations • Experience creating visual concepts for animation or motion-based productions • Experience with music editing, music mixing, or syncing visuals to audio • Interest in drone shows, animation, live events, visual storytelling, or emerging creative technology Benefits Sky Elements offers a competitive benefits package, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements, including: • 401(k) with company match • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Health Savings Account option, if enrolled in an eligible plan • Paid time off • Career growth Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: • Sit and work at a computer for extended periods • Use hands and fingers for typing, drawing, design work, phone, and computer use • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Participate in video meetings and virtual collaboration • Review detailed visual materials on a computer screen • Occasionally travel by air or ground transportation, if business needs require • Occasionally stand or walk at event sites, meetings, or production environments, if assigned Work Environment This is a remote role with frequent virtual collaboration through video meetings, email, project management tools, and creative review platforms. Work is highly collaborative and may involve direct client interaction, internal creative reviews, and deadline-driven production cycles.
