Locations Available: Chicago Area The Multicraft Technician has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, 480v 3 phase motors, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. Qualifications/Skills: Must Have: • 8+ years in industrial manufacturing • Food manufacturing background needed • PLC troubleshooting, inputs/outputs, and changeouts of programs • Experience with Factory Talk or similar HMI software • Photo eyes, sensors, limit switches, and solenoids • Repairing and troubleshooting conveyor systems (line controls) • Mechanical Systems (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes) • Hydraulics & Pneumatics • High and Low Voltage • Ability to operate a multimeter to diagnose a variety of electrical issues • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
