Job Title: Network Architect 4
Location: Richmond, VA 23219 Remote
Duration: 6+ months with possible extension
This role is mostly full time remote work with quarterly in-person meetings with leaders.
Responsibilities:
• Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs to support the organizations business operations and communication needs.
• Design and document the entire network implementation process
• Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns
• Performing regular network upgrades to create greater efficiency
• Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference
• Develop patterns and standards for all network designs
• The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
• Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met.
• Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption
• Define multisite network operations and software applications.
• Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
• Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.
• Aligns architecture strategy with business goals.
• Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
