OBS Coder (Part-time)

Healthcare Coding and Consulting Services (HCCS) is currently hiring for an experienced and certified Observation (OBS) Coders for immediate an opening. These remote positions are ideal for coders seeking long-term, stable opportunities with a company that values accuracy, professionalism, and career growth. As an OBS coder with HCCS, you’ll be responsible for accurately coding outpatient observation encounters, mastering client systems, and consistently meeting productivity and quality standards. We assign coders to chart types and facilities that align with their experience, ensuring you're supported and set up for success. Position Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years of OBS facility production coding experience • At least 6 months of recent OBS facility coding experience • Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC-A and CCA not accepted or considered) • CCS certification is preferred • Ability to maintain minimum standards of productivity and accuracy • Must be available for training hours: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm EST/ CST HCCS is a family-owned company offering direct-hire, W-2 positions—not contract work or temporary projects.
