Online Accounting Instructor

Job title: Online Accounting Instructor in Red Oak, TX at Lone Star Training Center Company: Lone Star Training Center Job description : We are seeking a part-time dedicated and knowledgeable Accounting Instructor to lead our online Accounting Clerk Specialist program. Candidate must reside in Texas. This role involves delivering comprehensive instruction in accounting principles, with a strong emphasis on practical skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks online. The ideal candidate will prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and equip them with the competencies required for entry-level accounting positions. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development & Instruction Design and deliver engaging course materials covering fundamental accounting concepts. Integrate hands-on training in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to enhance practical skills. Prepare students for certification exams in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. Student Assessment & Support Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback and support to facilitate student learning and success. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Program Enhancement Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting software and industry practices. Collaborate with faculty and administration to continuously improve program offerings. Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable. Certifications Microsoft Excel Certification or extensive experience QuickBooks Certification or extensive experience Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools. Expertise in QuickBooks, encompassing setup, transaction processing, and reporting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students. Preferred Qualifications Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual classroom tools. Familiarity with adult learning principles and diverse instructional strategies. Must reside in the state of Texas and be available two nights a week for online instruction from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. This is a remote position.
