Thirty-year-old online Aviation/Aerospace news service is looking for a solid, independent, creative sales and marketing pro who understands how sales are really made... by knowing the industry, making (LOTS of) calls, building relationships, and following up. With a number of exciting different products to market, and some massive upgrades to our company and its mission, there is more than sufficient activity to provide a solid income to someone who can see the task through to maturity.
We're looking for someone to take on the job of guiding and managing the marketing and promotional growth of our aviation programs -- as well as the exciting addition of new coverage devoted to a number of aviation disciplines. Relocation is not required... but the ability to work with integrity, and without a lot of supervision, is a must.
Further; you will be dealing with aviation and aerospace personnel so some knowledge of those industries is required to be able to communicate effectively.
We also need them to have serious graphic, social media, and outreach smarts... so that you can maintain the relationship with our clients throughout each project.
We need a true Sales/Marketing Professional... an aggressive, detail-oriented, ethical, honest, well-spoken, smart, web-savvy, sales and promotions-oriented person who can help us introduce a whole new generation of aviation businesses as our partners in growing our work, as well as to brainstorm and manage a number of promotional and industry programs.
This is a busy job and it requires a sales professional who will do the job without shortcuts or any hint of less than proper conduct. It's going to require excellent sales skills, solid marketing smarts, a consistent work ethic, tremendous ingenuity, a keen insight into the aviation world (some, but not all, of which can be learned), who is good at communicating their activities to managers, has a great imagination, integrity, and is a TRUE communicator... someone who also GETS just how important our company is to the aviation world, and can be counted on to help us grow our services and abilities so that we can do EVEN MORE than we do already.
