Online Programs Advisor

About the position Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive advising and manage a caseload of new, continuing, and transfer students attending CSU Pueblo online programs. • Develop structured student success plans to maximize retention and persistence of students in their programs. • Utilize enrollment management systems to track academic progress and provide proactive outreach interventions. • Assist students in navigating the registration process, including course selection and enrollment. • Facilitate connections between students and other campus departments such as Admissions, Career Center, and Tutoring centers. • Maintain student files and records in accordance with applicable laws and policies. • Monitor inquiries and applicant data to ensure progress towards enrollment targets. • Provide information on admission requirements, academic programs, and financial aid. • Recommend outreach activities and assist in preparing program information and promotional materials. Requirements • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. • Experience in a team environment with a diverse population of students. • Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking skills, and attention to detail. Nice-to-haves • Master's or Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution. • Strong written and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated work experience in student advising and knowledge of Financial Aid. • Experience with Banner or similar SIS system. • Experience with FERPA.
