Job title: Operations Manager Company: Forge Metals, LLC Job description: Description: Forge Metals, an industry leader in commercial metal fabrication is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team of teams. This position will work out of our West Jordan main fabrication shop and will report to the President of our sister company, Makers Line. In this role the chosen candidate will plan, direct, coordinate and assist in overseeing leadership of all administrative, shop fabrication/production/detailing, project management, and field operations. This role will be a member of the Senior leadership team and will have the responsibility to assist in creating and leading the operational strategy and make significant contributions to the organization's overall strategic goals and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities: • As a member of the senior leadership team, serve as advisor/mentor to the departmental leaders, evaluating and assisting with financial plans and economic modeling • Provide input into strategic and tactical planning and policy making, helping support the culture and communication within the company • Oversee operations including budget development, schedule adherence, cost management, safety administration, quality assurance and client satisfaction • Ensure shop operations are executed with high levels of safety, quality while encouraging continuous improvement • Create and maintain a team culture that values, recognizes, and inspires high performance, supports innovation, and challenges the status quo • Adheres to and ensures standard processes and technologies are implemented within the various segments of construction operations • Develops strong internal relationships with all employees and external relationships through active networking and visible industry and community involvement Requirements: Knowledge Skills & Abilities: • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including ability to provide direction, develop consensus, mentor leaders, and delegate execution of key initiatives across the organization • Ability to make confident and sound business decisions and adapt if/when deemed necessary • Ability to identify roles and responsibilities throughout shop operations while prioritizing an overall mindset of clear expectations and accountability • Broad-based knowledge of metal fabrication, field operations, prefab, and estimating techniques, and cost control • Professionalism – displays high level of integrity and ethics, both personally and professionally, along with well-developed sense of discretion and confidentiality • Effective planning skills with strong organization and passion for excellence in execution • Excellent communication, persuasion, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Strategic – long-term business orientation with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus Requirements: • Bachelors' degree in construction management, engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a discipline within commercial construction • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a construction leadership role • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in metal fabrication PM22 PI192029194 Expected salary: Location: West Jordan, UT Job date: Mon, 03 Oct 2022 04:45:53 GMT Apply for the job now!
