The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming orders, ensuring accurate data entry, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various transportation management systems effectively. Duties • Receive and process customer orders via multi-line phone systems and electronic communication. • Utilize GIS and GPS tools to assist in transportation planning and logistics management. • Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory using Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine systems. • Collaborate with dispatching teams to coordinate freight movement and ensure timely deliveries. • Analyze data related to supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement. • Provide support in shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Manage fleet operations and assist in 3PL coordination as needed. • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while communicating with customers and vendors. Requirements • Proficiency in transportation management systems, including Oracle Transportation Management and AS400. • Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy for data entry tasks. • Familiarity with logistics concepts such as freight management, supply chain dynamics, and transportation planning. • Excellent analysis skills to evaluate operational efficiency and suggest improvements. • Effective communication skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members. • Experience with dispatching operations is preferred but not mandatory. • Knowledge of GIS tools is a plus but not required. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
