Part-time Accountant (Contractor)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Contract Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with nonprofit organizations and be proficient in preparing financial statements and notes for CPA reviews or audits. Experience with for-profit entities is also necessary. Responsibilities: • Prepare financial statements for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. • Compile detailed notes for CPA reviews and audits. • Collaborate with the CPA team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Perform duties as part of CPA engagements related to preparing CPA reports. Requirements: • Proven experience in accounting for nonprofit organizations. • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation. • Ability to compile notes for CPA reviews or audits. • Experience with for-profit entities is preferred but not mandatory. • Knowledge of preparing reports on cash basis, tax basis, modified accrual basis, and accrual basis accounting. • CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Advanced Excel Skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
