Part-Time Bookkeeper & Tax Preparation Specialist

Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Financial Statements: Provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services for various clients. Compile financial statements and ensure all records are up to date and in compliance with relevant standards. Tax Preparation: Prepare and file individual and business tax returns using Intuit ProConnect Tax. Ensure all tax documents are accurate and submitted on time. Client Engagement: Gather necessary financial information from clients to complete bookkeeping and tax tasks. Occasionally meet with clients to discuss their financial needs and provide tailored solutions. Technology Use: Utilize QuickBooks Online for managing client accounts, bookkeeping, and other financial tasks. Additional Projects: Assist with various accounting-related projects as needed, ensuring all tasks are completed with attention to detail. Networking & Growth Opportunities: If desired, attend networking events to represent the firm. There may be opportunities to earn commissions for bringing in new clients. Qualifications Accounting Experience: Prior experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping is required. A strong understanding of accounting principles is essential. Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Technology Skills: Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred. Familiarity with Intuit ProConnect Tax is a plus. Work Hours & Flexibility: Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week. While this role is primarily remote, occasional meetings at a shared workspace may be required.
