Part-Time HR Consultant

Job Title: Fractional HR Consultant (Part-Time / Contract) Location: Remote Hours: 2–3 hours per week (Flexible) Reports to: Practice Manager About the Role: We are a growing medical practice seeking a highly organized and experienced HR Consultant to oversee our human resources functions on a fractional basis. This role is designed to streamline our internal processes, ensure total compliance with healthcare labor laws, and support our leadership team in fostering a high-performance culture for our Providers, Case Management team and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities • Streamlining Operations: Standardize our onboarding/offboarding processes and performance review cycles to improve efficiency. • Policy Development: Advise on PTO policies, benefits administration, and compensation benchmarking to help us remain competitive. • Employee Relations: Act as a neutral third party for escalated interoffice issues or performance management coaching. • Performance Management: Standardize and manage annual performance review protocols • Compliance & Risk Management: Audit and periodically update our employee handbook, ensuring alignment with state/federal labor laws and healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, OSHA). • Advisory Support: Provide the Practice Manager with "on-call" guidance for sensitive personnel matters. Qualifications • Experience: 5+ years in Human Resources; experience in a medical or clinical setting is strongly preferred. • Credentials: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification required. • Expertise: Deep understanding of labor laws, credentialing nuances, and healthcare workplace dynamics. • Tech Savvy: Ability to work within our existing management software and communication tools. • Communication: Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to provide clear, actionable advice in a concise window of time.
