Part Time- Remote -Tax Senior/Tax Manager

SumBridge is hiring a Senior Tax Preparer/Tax Manager to join our client’s rapidly growing firm. This position is fully remote and part-time. (30-40 hours during tax season and in off season time would be 10-15 hours a week.) This is an ideal role for someone looking for flexibility without giving up interesting and fulfilling work. This firm provides comprehensive services ranging from business licensing, monthly bookkeeping, payroll, and tax and advisory services. Responsibilities: • Conduct quality reviews of tax returns prepared by Enrolled Agents to ensure the highest standard of service. • Manage the tax department in close collaboration with operations, playing a key role in documenting SOPs, processes, and procedures. • Oversee the work of new Enrolled Agents (EAs), providing constructive feedback and training as needed. • Foster excellent client relationships through meetings and consistent communication. High levels of customer service are essential. • Ensure adherence to team and client deadlines. • Sign off on tax returns and necessary tax-related documents/forms. • Engage in light tax resolution activities, including acquiring transcripts, and mediating between the client and the IRS when required. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field • CPA or EA certification preferred • At least 7 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, with managerial experience being a plus. • Demonstrated experience in tax return preparation and review. • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate complex tax concepts in layman's terms. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Demonstrated history of problem-solving and critical thinking • Commitment to customer service excellence.
