Part Time Tax Accountant -Fully Remote

About the position Responsibilities • Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, businesses, including S Corps, C Corps, and non-profit organizations • Review and assess financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures • Ensure all tax forms and supporting documentation are completed accurately and within deadline • Analyze and minimize tax liabilities through effective use of tax laws and regulations • Provide advice and guidance to clients on tax-related procedures and regulations • Utilize various accounting software systems to perform duties • Conduct internal auditing and bookkeeping functions • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations • Use CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax for various tasks • Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Tax Accountant role or similar capacity • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems and familiar with CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax • Demonstrable experience in executing accounting functions, auditing, and bookkeeping functions • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards related to accounting and taxation • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA or other relevant certification is preferred • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently • High attention to detail and accuracy • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
