Part-Time Tax Preparer/Tax Strategist (Seasonal, Potential for Full-Time) – Tax Season 2026 About Us: We are a tax strategy and tax preparation CPA-led tax firm seeking a seasoned Tax Preparer/Tax Strategist with 5+ years of experience to join our team for the 2026 tax season. This is a part-time position with potential to transition to full-time year-round, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Position Overview: As a trusted member of our tax team, you will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. You will work closely with our CPA to deliver accurate and timely tax services, leveraging your expertise to maximize client tax outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review complex tax returns including individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate filings. • Analyze financial data for tax planning, deductions, credits, basis calculations, and depreciation issues. • Utilize and manage tax workflows using Google Business Suite, ProSeries tax software, QuickBooks Online, and Canopy software. • Maintain accurate records and assist with tax notices or audits as necessary. • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while maintaining quality work. Qualifications: • 5+ years tax preparation experience, preferably in a CPA or tax firm environment. • Strong proficiency with Google Business Suite, Intuit ProSeries, QuickBooks Online, and Canopy software. • Deep knowledge of complex tax issues including basis tracking, depreciation, and business tax planning. • Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills. • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Experience handling tax season workloads efficiently and accurately. • CPA or EA designation preferred but not required.
