Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central (After Hours Call Center) team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by contacting patients regarding equipment delivery, taking orders, verifying patient information, and placing orders in a timely manner. This is a 100% remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe patient profiles over the telephone, including data entry of information and possible outbound calling
- Obtain medically necessary documentation and process patient orders through our online pharmacy system
- Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and supplies
- Troubleshoot problems based on patient input, providing empathetic and effective solutions to ensure patient satisfaction
- Verify orders are complete and accurate, ensuring seamless delivery of care
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with experience in the medical field and administrative record management
- A strong customer service background, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with a positive and empathetic attitude
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Self-motivation, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion when handling sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a call center or customer service environment, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
- Knowledge of medical terminology and home medical equipment, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel, with the ability to navigate our online systems and tools
